One sunny(hot) Saturday!

Wildflowers are popping up all over town.

It is only March 1st!

We hit the pavement around 9:30 this morning. Handing out flyers through our neighborhood. In April, they will decide whether to close our elementary school along with 3 others in town. I don't even want to think about it. We have been going to that school for the last 9 years! So, we set out into the neighborhood to let people know how to contact the school board and go to the meetings. I was proud of the kids, they walked with us and helped give out the flyers.

Lindsey chanting "Save Rogers".

This photo is for you, Stacy.

After all that hard work, we picked up McDonald's for them and went to the park.

The Glamour Girls were ready to go !!!!!

After her nap, I caught her with Lindsey's Leapster
So stinkin cute....she does well with it!

Michael helped make the tilapia....and ate it. They all did!

What a great day! Wonder what tomorrow will bring. Oh no....I know. Laundry!!!! It really never seems to end.

Ooooh, yummy--tilapia! And you think you need help in the kitchen? Thanks for visiting my blog, anyway. I'm sure you're a fine cook!
And I hope the school stays open. I don't get it--is the population of grade-school kids going down? I'm the last of the 'baby boomer' generation, so my schools were pretty crowded. Then you had years where the schools were half empty. Suddenly, the boomers grew up and had kids--and the schools were busting at the seams again. It just fluctuates up and down. I think they should keep the schools and just shut off sections of them if necessary to save on heat, etc. That's the biggest reason they'll close schools...they don't want to pay to maintain them!
