Helmets, Helping, and Hopping

Dad helped Lindsey ride her bike today. I love his hand on her shoulder and handlebar, all while she has a big smile on her face.

Michael is really doing well with Lindsey's old bike....hey, he isn't too proud to ride a barbie bike.

Natalie had a great time trying to ride Lindsey's old bike....just having a little trouble in the steering area. So cute.

Michael decided it was time to get scootin'. Off my boy went with his shirt on inside out and his shoes on the wrong feet.

and then thought he would be a nice big brother and push Natalie around super fast, which made her so happy.

Next up, hopscotch fun on our nice stained carport.

Natalie helped with the chalk.

When was the last time you played hopscotch? Did you give it your all like Michael? That boy has so much energy....preschool is going to be so good for him.

Natalie helps Mom change Lindsey's sheets.

Can you see the helpfulness?

She loves her big sister and anything that has to do with her. It is so cute.

Come again???

We tried to get Tyler a special ed bus pick-up in the morning, because there is really no way I can be at 3 schools within 25 minutes...just can't do it. Called school transportation and was told basically that he is "not autistic enough". How is that for a laugh? Yes, my son is high-functioning, but to tell me that he has to ride a regular bus until a problem arises is unacceptable to me. He has autism. Extremely crowded areas, loud noises, forced social situations is very confusing and overwhelming to him. They are right in a way, he MIGHT be fine, but I am worried he MIGHT not be. What happens then, for his day? For his week? How the kids view him? His self-confidence? We have found a better solution, thankfully! Lindsey will go to community school at her school about 30 minutes before school starts. That way I can take her to school, drive Michael to pre-school and then drop off Tyler at his school at 8:55(my fingers are crossed). Thanks for letting me vent.....a mom has to sometimes.

Random acts of cuteness, kindness and more cuteness.

Natalie sportin' Michael's hat. Those eyes are amazing.
Don't know if I posted this, but I just love it.
Ready for bed....do you want her skin or what?
Lil' ol' blue eyes trying out our shower for the first time.
The Fancy Nancy hat she picked out at Target...makes you want one, doesn't it?
A big brother sharing his tracks and Natalie building it herself. She was so proud and I was so proud of Michael, that is a big issue at our house.

Michael enjoying his new Speed Racer towel I got at Wal-mart for $5!
Natalie the gardener.
I love this pic of Lindsey, the lighting and the smile...all natural. Not too sure about the rash on her forehead and around her eyes. The doctor said it will go away...I think it might be nerves about 1st grade.

My silly son.

A little sweetie we babysat on Tuesday for 4 hours. Yes, there were 5 kids here and we did it! My kids were so loving and helpful with this bundle of energy. It was fun....made me want another one.....
Another shot of siblings sharing....I know! I couldn't believe it. Lindsey got a Polly Pocket Pool for her birthday and let Michael play along. It made my heart happy.

Takes after his mother.....can sleep anywhere!

What greets us most mornings....

A crazy hair,
peek-a-booing,
laughing,
camera cheesin',

silly face makin',
talkative,
sweet, sweet girl. I love this curly haired girl. Really and truly, I do.

Registering for 8th Grade.

I cannot believe that he is 1 year away from high school. I can only remember when he was this

little. I love this picture of my little pollywag. Do you all remember Gullah Gullah Island? it was one of Tyler's favorites and he looks just like Binyah, Binyah here.

Or this little at our wedding. I miss it and feel like I missed it. Like it was all a blur. I guess everyone feels that way, but wow, it is eye opening. Let me run and give the kids one more snuggle...cause time does go on.

School Shopping Sunday....i think I have an alliteration problem...

Sunday afternoon Tyler and I picked up Grandma Nev and hit the stores. Oh man, nothing like 3 kids starting school to feel the pain in the wallet! Did I mention we got check-ups last week and Tyler is coming in at 5'9.5"....Hello? Anyone there? My 13 year old is wearing men's clothing....it is a little too much to take. Did you get your school clothes shopping done? Where you in shock at the register too?

Oh, those summer nights!

There is something so fun about being in the pool at twilight.....the water is pretty and the kids feel like they are doing something wild and crazy. So cute.
