So VERY happy it's Friday!

Happy might not be the right word. Ecstatic, overjoyed, and thrilled would better describe how I am feeling. Why the excitement? A weekend getaway? A fun event? No, my husband won't be working all weekend!!!! YAY! It has been a crazy couple of weeks. The kids have had some good days, but boy, they have had some really bad ones too. And you all know when they have bad days, Mom is sure to follow their lead. I am hoping this weekend will get me back on track.

Some tidbits from the past week

*Natalie not only said "Thank you, Da-da" to Charles, she has said "Diaper" too!
*Michael decided to flush a pair of Lindsey's favorite flower panties down the toilet...ugh, that kid has a strange fascination with the toilet. He won't use it, but he loves putting other stuff in it!
*We cut Michael's hair...........let's just say you won't be seeing any pictures of our handiwork for a couple of days. It was not our best work.
*Tyler had the AIMS test all week at school. The highlight for me was that he actually asked for reclarification on a question. This is so HUGE for Tyler. The resource teachers have been working on him for so long about asking question when you don't understand something. Such a great step. I am so proud of him!
*Tiffany's Handpainted Love boxes I found in my favorites. I believe that I found her by way of Cristin. She makes the cutest boxes and writes about such fun stuff.
*Can someone tell me why Grey's Anatomy is repeat after repeat? I am really missing it.

Because I couldn't resist.

Easter photos

As usual for me, these are all out of order. What a disappointing day....photo-wise. You would think I would have getting ready down to a science, but it seems we are always running late or where we need to be at the last possible moment. I had them all ready, looking pretty darn cute, but had to be at my Mom's by 12:30. So after we loaded all the dishes we were bringing into the car, we had no time for photos. I tried to take them as soon as we got to my Mom's, but the only one of all of them was looking at my mother-in-law instead of me. In spite of Lindsey taking her dress off after dinner, Michael wearing many different colored jello eggs all over his clothes, and not getting as many nice photos as I planned, it was a wonderful day spent with family. I don't know if you can see it clearly in this picture, but Lindsey has a habit of taking the sash that ties in the back of your dress and wrapping it around to the front. Every single time. Must be a new fashion trend!?!

Our little bunny just woke up.
Our other little bunny with those "just woke up" eyes.

Scenes from the last week.

Sweet baby. One row of roses at the Rose Garden at Reid Park. Roses in Arizona...who knew?
Lindsey and her friend, McKenna. They are in preschool together. They have become quite close these past couple of months. McKenna is a sweet girl and it has been great getting to know her Mom and little sister too!
The two younger sisters watching all the action.
Their Easter Gingerbread tree. We still had it from Christmas and decided to give it a try.
They had lots of fun being able to do it all themselves.
Smiley face playing in front of her "house".
Dont you just love her polo dress?
She is able to use her fingers on this toy, but seemed to prefer using her toes.....a chip off the ol' block, huh Mom?

Sleeping Beauty.
Goofing around with their handmade bunny ears.
Lindsey played Easter Bunny all afternoon. Complete with her holiday dress, black mary-janes, and easter basket/purse. It was pretty cute.
Busted! Lindsey thought I was occupied with Michael and figured the girls needed a snack of Apple Jacks.....hey, that rhymed!

The pool is open!

Well, their little inflatable pool that is. We haven't ventured into the real pool....still too cold. My apologies in advance to those of you who have the uncontrollable desire to hold our little Natalie. She is such a cutie! Also, there are none of Lindsey because she was constantly in motion and none of Tyler because he was gone for the day.

Not sure what was going on in this picture.....he was trying to jump up a slide?

Don't you love her top?
Modeling I Believe Designs cool reversible headbands, Lindsey shows what she was up to with a green Sharpie today.
Hot shot showing her standing skills!
I heard giggling coming from Lindsey's room and was so happy to find them reading each other stories....which is better than the screaming and yelling that had been going on outside a few minutes before(had to explain those dirty feet!)

A fun Saturday afternoon at the park.

Last Saturday, my Mom surprised me and asked all of us to the park. Charles was working AGAIN, and it was a much needed change. The pictures are out of order and there are probably too many, but it was so much fun. This is Michael running down a very steep hill....cracks me up! It reminds me of a cartoon character.
I love this picture.....she is on a mission.
LOVE, absolutely love that smile.

Grandma leading the way.
Michael giving her a push.....he went head first.

My beautiful girl taking a break.
Natalie was asleep the entire time, but woke just as we were leaving for this photo.
That's one handsome boy!
Tyler letting me take a pic . I think he had a good time too.
Lindsey loves climbing....Notice her headband Stacy? It stayed put the entire day!

Another great week of Good Mail!

A beautiful baby announcement from my good friend, Lauren. Gosh, do you believe we have known each other for almost 20 years? Isn't he the sweetest little boy. I love how she incorporated the baby blanket with his name into the announcement. Also, she sent a cute thank you card. Congratulations, Lafond Family. He is a sweetheart!
We rec'd hand delivered good mail by way of our sweet elderly neighbors, Joe and Ann. The cookies and muffins are long gone....yum.
Natalie rec'd an adorable ladybug dress and sunhat from our friends, The Harmons. Loved the envelope, Rachel! Thanks for remembering her.
My sister-in-law, Christina sent some much needed spring/Easter dishtowels. She also sent the kids some pretty cute Easter cards. Thanks for thinking of us!
Kacey was so sweet to send me a fun bunny notepad and some awesome ribbon(the pic doesn't really show how fun it really is.). Thanks so much! You all might know her from my addiction to Doodlebugs. She is definitely the one responsible. The stuff is just too cool! A sweet bunny card with photos inside was a nice surprise from my Aunt Pat. Sure made me miss you all the more!
Can you believe the cuteness of this? If you haven't visited her blog, you need to. Kristi is such an amazing woman. Great ideas, terrific traditions, wonderful resources, and she is willing to share them with everyone! Thanks again Kristi
