Tyler and I love comedy skits....love them. I love that we share that. On our NYC vacation last year, I don't know who was more excited with the NBC Studio Tour, Tyler or me.

We were heading into the actual building where SNL is filmed every Saturday night. Sort of surreal for us.

Waiting in line, he didn't know what to do. He kept flashing his backstage pass.

His smile the entire tour was contagious.

We picked up a couple of souvenirs...it took him a looooong time to decide what to buy.

Cause, you know, we could all use more cowbell.

Over the past few weeks, we've seen her

perform at her recorder concert.

show off her beautiful art work that was displayed at City Hall.

and try her best at soccer.

Although, I have no photos...trust me when I say she has been busy with her choir concert at the County Fair, her weekly piano lessons(recital is in a few weeks!), and the 3rd grade egg drop at school.

She is busy, but takes it all in stride. Have I mentioned lately, how much I love this daughter of mine?

The boy loves soccer. The boy loves football. The boy loves basketball. They boy loves it all.

Coach moved him up to forward and he couldn't be happier. He is one of the youngest/smallest on the team and that makes him even happier!

You know how every single year...I fret about my Christmas cards? I plan it all out in my head. I get all the props, all the fun clothes, everything. It is all going to be the perfect card...in my head. The obsession goes so overboard that when it is actually time to take and mail the Christmas cards...I got nothing. And then, have to resort to photo cards from any retailer with a fast enough turn-around time and a Christmasy border to plunk the photo into. It's true. I've said it before...I have high expectations.

Then I thought of a genius plan....lower my expectations. Sure plan it all out with all the great accessories, but don't expect much. Expect little and if something great turns out, I'll be overjoyed.

And it worked!!!! I decided not to worry about it and wouldn't you know that I got a decent photo and found the most darling cards at Shutterfly????

Seriously!!!! They have so many wonderful options this year. I think the only problem I am going to have is deciding which one to use. They are all so festive and fun!

Also, keep in mind, they have bright and cheery calendars that would make great gifts for family members. I think I will try a few this year.

Another great feature they have that I did not know about was birthday invites! Woohoo...it's about time is all I have to say. I have 4 children. This will save a lot of time and they are so stinkin cute! The invites and my children:)

Fourth day of travel~August 2nd.

Once we settled our battery situation, we were on our way. Did I mention how much we love Embassy Suites? Free made to order breakfast every morning...was a delightful thing.

While driving through Ohio, we made a stop at White Castle...remembering how much we loved them when we were younger. Our memory is going, because..well...they were horrible. I am sorry to all of you who may enjoy them, but they were nothing like I remember. Tasted like someone poured onion powder into my mouth...ick!

East coast...you are as beautiful as ever. The lush, green view while we driving through was just what these desert dwellers needed!

Dear Garmin: thank you for your help during this trips, although you did get quite annoying when we didn't listen to you.

This sign was a welcome sight! We made it.

Poor Tyler, he does take after his mother. He can sleep anywhere, no matter the space restrictions!

We arrived at our rental at around midnight. We didn't get to sleep until 3 am....all 6 of us. When we did wake up, this was the view out of our window. Isn't it beautiful?

August 1st-Day 3

On our way to Indianapolis, we munched on sandwiches and goodies provided by Jeff & Lori and were amazed by

the PHANTOM driver. Do you see anyone driving the red car? Us either.

We passed through St. Louis and really regretted that we could not stop. We were running so late, but it was beautiful to see.

A couple of perks to driving during the night. I was pretty pleased to catch these out of the back window of the van.

*We stopped in a small town about 2 hours outside of Indianapolis and our battery died.

**Triple AAA was called.

***No one was willing to come out to us for a jump. Really. I am not lying.

****Luckily, after waiting about 30 minutes, it started. We made it to our hotel without incidence.

*****Even luckier? A Honda dealership was only 5 minutes away from our hotel.

******Even luckier still? They were so quick, we didn't lose any time in the morning on our way to New York.

19 hours of fun (the family road trip saga continues)

Okay, where was I? Oh yes, at the lovely house of Lori. She is a dear friend/sister I met blogging! When I tell people this, they can't quite understand it. Somehow, we clicked. I am so lucky to know her. Her family, Jeff, Mandy, Katie, Ruby & Ms. Snookie are equally wonderful. When we arrived, we immediately felt at home.

And this wonderful, fun polka dot wreath she made for me. I LOVE IT!

We arrived just in time for a delicious dinner off of the grill.

They were so sweet to celebrate Lindsey's birthday with this YUMMY cake

complete with candles. Thank you for making her feel so special.

Beautiful Katie made this gift for Lindsey. She did a great job and Lindsey has it hanging over her doorway. Thank you, Katie!

After dinner, Lori & I were able to sneak away for a quick trip to Hobby Lobby before they closed. I see what all the fuss is about. It is delightful!

When we got back, strawberry daiquiris were made and enjoyed! Yes, they are as nice as they appear. The daiquiris and Jeff & Lori!

Michael was so excited to be camping out on their floor. I don't think he even minded being surrounded by 4 girls.

These 2 were so excited, I don't think they could stand it.

While Lori & I had a SmartyPants championship going on....Charles and Natalie were asleep. Is there anything cuter than a father sleeping with his daughter? Cuteness!

Tyler and Mandy became fast friends...

Jeff, Lori, and Ruby(above) took me for a ride. I had to get my celebrity fix.

Yep, that's The Duggar's house. From 19 and counting. Yes, I took a photo.

We had such a terrific time, we didn't want to leave. No photos of leaving, cause I was crying. Really, why can't we live closer?

After our whirlwind trip to Vegas(thank you Aunt Pat & Uncle Rich), we came home to the internet & telephone not working. Yesterday, the cable company fixed us up and we are back online! Woohoo! to telling you about the rest of our amazing family vacation and all that has been happening in our lives over the past month.

Oh, and am I the only one excited that it is fall? Happy Fall, Ya'll!

On Day 2, we woke up in Okie City. After a delicious breakfast, we decided to stop at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. It was so serene and beautiful.

After we remembered and prayed for those who lost their lives & their families, we were on the road again to...

More tomorrow. It has been a crazy week already. We are on day 10 of no refrigerator, a micro burst storm tore out our beautiful, large tree in our front yard, and several family health issues have kept me preoccupied.

We are home safe and sound. So much to share! Like Lindsey's birthday...yes, she turned 8 the night before we left. And how well our children did on such a looong road trip....bribery wasn't even necessary! And how wonderful it was to see family...everyone was so warm and welcoming. Or how to have fun at Walgreen's at midnight...go with Lori! And how much we needed this vacation.....really, really, needed it! And how school started the day after we got back home....i know! I have a 1st grader, a 3rd grader, and a 10th grader....crAZY! Can't wait to tell you more, but the unpacking still continues!

After a long, but surprisingly calm road trip...we made it. Back to my hometown. Everything is so lush, so green. I have missed it here. The internet access is spotty, so I will wait to give all the details when we get better service.

I am up frantically trying to finish getting ready for our cross-country family vacation. Hopefully, we won't be channeling the Griswolds during this trip. I looked at the time and realized in a few moments, my baby girl, will officially be 8! Eight years old! She loves hearing the story of when she was born. Of how excited we were to meet her. Of how I was snacking on plums(her favorite fruit btw) and went into labor. Of how upon getting to the hospital that we felt it was meant to be because our nurse's name was Nicole(Lindsey's middle name). And of course, how she was born to our wedding song, My Baby You by Marc Anthony(no lie!)Most of all, she loves looking at the photo of when her Mommy and Daddy got to truly meet her. Tears in our eyes over our good fortune of getting such a beautiful,healthy girl. She is everything we could of hoped for(and more)in a daughter. Happy Birthday, my little sunshine. We love you!

No joke. I absolutely love Pop tarts. Love em. Only unfrosted strawberry, though. I know, I am a freak. If that isn't weird enough, every single time I open a box, I laugh. I think of Paula Poundstone's love for them too. Do you remember her? Or her pop tart jokes? Here let me refresh your memory. (be warned, she uses some NSFHWCN language...you know, not safe for home with children nearby language.)

Am I the only one in the world who has not had this flavor gum before? Lori got us hooked. You need to try it, if you haven't. It is my new favorite.

Making pizza with the kids. Yummy and cheap = perfect dinner!

We got our tickets to Toy Story 3. Are you going? The whole house is excited about this one!

Last, but not least....2 little girls playing hide-n-seek under the covers. Does anything make you smile more? Extra tidbit: Natalie is 4 and Trinity is 2. THEY ARE THE SAME SIZE!!! Crazy, right?

Summer, scores, and silliness.

We have hit triple digit temps here, so when you want to have fun outdoors...you better get out early. I have tried to explain this to the kids. Over and over. They finally got the point Friday. We were at the park for exactly 20 minutes. 20 minutes and it was only 10:30 a.m.!

Thankfully, we have our pool and we enjoyed it!

We went to Savers this past week and found this for Michael. $3 and it worked! I didn't realize it was a true bumblebee transformer. We were pretty impressed with our find. He was beyond happy.

Friday, Charles surprised us by getting home a little earlier and bringing dinner home. He walked in the house with this hat on and he brought each of us one. Yeah, you know we all wore them while we ate. The kids couldn't stop giggling.

I know, I know...2 posts in 2 days....what is going on? :)

The last day of school was May 26th. An emotional roller coaster for many of us.

Cake pops were brought. Thanks, Janice for making them for Lindsey's class.

The PTO put together an end of the year carnival. Complete with

3 different inflatables,

carnival games, popcorn, cotton candy and

sno cones. Michael wore it all over his face just for you:)

Michael "graduated" from Kindergarten. They don't allow ceremonies here, so they just receive their certificates.

I am proud of my little reader!

Lindsey is now a 3rd grader!!!

When did that happen? really?

The school district governing board decided to close our neighborhood school. We fought it 2 years ago and won, but this year it didn't work. It breaks all of our hearts. Small schools are getting closed all around the nation and unfortunately, they don't realize what or who they are truly hurting. Our children,our future. Ugh, don't get me started. I am very proud of my children...they learned alot from this school.

She has a sweet, sweet husband who my children immediately loved!

She has an amazing daughter who was willing to try anything new and has the bluest eyes I have ever seen.

She has another equally amazing daughter who clicked with Lindsey right away. Don't you love Natalie's photo of her? Such a cutie.

She was game for anything, even hanging out in a candy store for an hour. Worked the photo booth like a pro;)

Lori, a dear friend that I met here...in Bloggyland. I can't believe that we got a chance to meet.

Yesterday, I was invited to a tea party. A tea party picnic.

A sweet someone set our place setting...complete with a flower plate, a ladybug and a caterpillar....and the darling teapot placecard that said, Lady Heather and Lady Natalie.

The teachers made everyone feel special

with all the tea party accessories.

Including the sweet sign that told us, "You are a beautiful Mom" Always nice to hear.

I was read to. Brown bear, brown bear is one of her favorites.

She even tried to share her ladybug cookie.

She even treated me to a game of peek-a-boo with the cute Mother's Day card that she made for me.

We picked out our favorite hair accessory.

We both loved these. So bright.

Every time we came to a tree, she would duck..no matter how tall the tree was.

She let me know that these "cactuses" were pretty too.

No matter how thorny they are, i love bougainvilleas!

We took a little rest by some african daisies.

We found some beautiful blue delphiniums blooming in our yard.

What is so cool about that? They are my actual wedding flowers that we planted.

They come back every year....

They make me happy.

Only one more day until she turns 4! I still can't believe it. She is such a ray of sunshine in our life. She loves her new shirt...$3.50 score at Wal-mart. She almost wouldn't wear it. Why? Because the rainbow on the shirt is not right...and she went on and on about how there is no pink and it should be red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and purple. Smart girl...love her.

Natalie & I decided to take advantage of this gloomy weather. We got on our raincoats(even though it wasn't raining out) and our rainboots to search for puddles.

We found very few....

But, those we found....were fun!

After puddle hopping, we were a little chilly.

We talked and giggled about our rainy adventure over a cup of cocoa.

It was rodeo time again here in Arizona. The week of parades, cook-outs, and 2 days off from school!

Michael's kindergarten class performed for their families. They were all so cute. There are so many boys in both classes...that most boys had to dance together! Not too sure the boys enjoyed that, but it was still sweet to see.

Sunday, we had big plans.

We got out our scarves.

I found my rain boots....don't you love em?

And we hit the open road. Beautiful, right?

About 20 minutes later, we saw our first signs of snow.

And we were lucky enough to find a perfect spot...

Borrowed snowsuits(thanks Janice) were put on, and sleds were brought out. The fun began!

Tyler enjoyed himself too! I think those Target $1 bin red gloves made him feel like a Power Ranger;)

No one complained about walking up the slippery slope....especially this guy. He loved it all.

Not alot of actions shots due to ...too much action going on. One of us had to be at the bottom because they came down pretty fast.

And one of us had to be at the top to hold the sled while they got on. They had so much fun.

There were several wipe-outs, which is all part of the fun, no?

Lindsey had the most...cause that girl came down f.a.s.t! She was airborne at one point(scared me to death).

After about 30 minutes, my Arizona babies had had it. Hey, I was impressed they lasted as long as they did! Rain boots or sneakers don't really keep your feet warm & dry for long....but luckily, we had extra mittens that kept her little feet warm.
While everyone was warming up, we enjoyed the view on the way back down.

Guess we timed it just right....people were waiting at the BASE of the mountain for up to 3 hours to go up..crazy. When we went up, there was no wait at all.

Stockings were hung, but apparently Santa hadn't finished with mine yet;)

Santa was good to us this year. Not sure what made me think it was okay to take a photo with the tv on??? I blame it all on the flu!

Lucky for me(lucky for all of us, I guess) that I was well by Christmas Eve. We went to my mom and dad's and had a good time.

First things first....let's get a photo of the kids in their pjs in front of the tree. Oops, not enough light.

The best photo of them....unfortunately, 3 cameras going at once=too bright of a photo.

Okay, let's try it one more time....uh-oh, we lost one. This is the story of my life. A thanks to Tyler for smiling nicely each and every time. Can you show your siblings how it's done?

After snacks, the kids waited patiently for present time.

The excitement of the night? Lindsey, Michael and Natalie got a new Leapster 2 from their grandparents. They were so happy. All in all it was a great night.

Though there are not many photos to prove it. I was sick and alot of my Freddy ideas were not executed in exactly the same way as I would have done.

There were a couple of days that Freddy got sick too:(

A couple of them were not even documented. Like the huge snowball fight that occurred between Santa, Gingy & Freddy....they must have had the best time. Or the cool tree nightlight/wallflower in the bathroom that glows many different colors. Or how he was hiding inside one of our stockings...such antics!

Here is one photo of Freddy at our computer emailing SANTA...can you believe it? Poor photo due to photographer's fever of 103 or higher!

This was a pretty exciting morning for us....we couldn't believe our eyes.

Freddy had his own house under the tree....maybe he was tired of the needles falling on his head while he slept or maybe the ornaments???

He left with Santa on Christmas Eve and we already miss him. Hope he comes back next year!

It was a great day....we had a surprise for the kids.

She made a to-do list for us. On the list?

Finding the perfect Christmas tree. While we were there, imagine our surprise to find Santa!!!

We loved walking through all the trees, felt so festive.

Here the cutie snacked on a candy cane Santa gave them.

Once we were home, it was fun to see all the kids helping Dad with the tree...see the little one behind Tyler? Yep, she helped too!

They even helped with the tree stand....some serious tree trimming techniques were being discussed!

While Santa in the background helped with the tree....these 2 WANTED their photo taken! What? They confuse me, these children of mine.

Decorating the tree was fun.

They were a little better at finding the perfect spot for their ornaments.

A cute one of my love. I buy an ornament every year from Pier One and he got to hang the newest one.

First, let me thank anyone who is still reading my blog for sticking around. I haven't been the most dedicated blogger these past few months. This month, I was on track, but sickness got the better of our house. After I went through my 6.5 days of illness, Tyler was and is the lucky recipient of that same type of flu. He is on day 5 of this and thankfully, feeling a bit better than he was. I will try to fill you all in on our busy month of December....

I give you the concerts:

Michael was so happy to be with his friends at night....not at school!! Here he is with his friend, Jacob. Jacob's twin older brothers were in the same kindergarten class with Tyler, as these two boys are. Crazy, no?
Lindsey found a few of her friends to hang out with before the show....

I haven't been posting because I finally came out of my strep/flu fog that lasted 6.5 days. Still tired, but I survived! I will have to catch you all up over the next week...but, until then have a wonderful holiday! Merry Christmas!

We found him under our Christmas tree.....napping, of course.

Along with a letter from the big guy, he brought 4 ornaments to hang on our tree....how did he know we got a tree?

The next day, we couldn't find him in the living room. He was in the dining room reporting back to Santa on OUR phone.

He must have heard Lindsey & Michael talking about the snowmen he made last year.....so this year, he made two!

This morning, they were pretty shocked to find Freddy in their bathroom!!! Complete with a letter from Freddy & elf soap!!!! Be good and Be nice soap....Freddy is pretty smart.

They even came in elf soap boxes, but Freddy opened them for us~

Wonder what he will be up to tonight?

Until I bought Grandpa his Old Fashioned Candy. I automatically picked some up the other day at the store. He really loved it. When we played games he would pass the can around the table and everyone would grab a few. You have to eat a couple at a time, ya know. Gosh, how much I miss him. So, when I popped opened the can yesterday, I felt he was little closer to us. A part of him was here. Smiling, his beautiful smile.....telling me you need more than one and squeezing me tight.

One can never be too careful.

My little helper and I went to Wal-mart...
She dressed herself!

She helped me remember to get items on my list, ;like cheese with quotes such as, "oh, how I love you cheese", "don't forget my cheesy friend", and "Yay! we are getting the cheese!". It was pretty cute...Natalie hugging the cheese til we put it in the bag.

When we got home she helped unload the bags....yeah, just one. Can you guess which one? Yep, the one with the cheese in it! :)

And then proceeded to squeeze into an impossible spot in the truck of the filthy van.
Note the popcorn balls she is laying on....do you like popcorn balls? I don't mind them, but $3.94 for 18 isn't too bad for a fun treat.
I mean, how is she comfortable....the edge of our jogging stroller is about to jab her in the head. And furthermore, how is she able to smile that cute here
and here?
I asked her one to many times for a photo.....those eyes are too much.
After a few difficult moments of trying to get out without hurting herself, she was ready to jump for it.

Then when Daddy came home she told him that she helped with ALL the groceries.

Yep, that's my little helper.

There have been alot of them over the past couple months and I thought I better document how so many people in my life make my life so much sweeter.

For our 8th anniversary, I got double the specialness. Charles surprised me and took the whole day off, asked a friend of ours to pick up Natalie from preschool and we spent 5 hours together without children! We were able to reminisce about our wedding day here. Then, we enjoyed a walk through here, enjoyed lunch at Las Margaritas (Item B...cheese enchiladas, beans & rice........yummy!!!) and then went home and swam in the pool ALONE! All by ourselves....we couldn't get over our luck. It felt a little odd being able to swim across the pool with no one hanging on to your shoulders. Just the kind of day we needed.

Then a couple of days later, my Mom was generous enough to watch the kids for an evening out. Charles wouldn't tell me where we were going. So, I started snapping pics on our way through town.

Until we got to our destination....

It started sprinkling and was raining...he promised we would go back some other time on a much clearer night. We went to dinner & I was just so touched by his thoughtfulness....he knows I want to catch a beautiful desert sunset, but we always seem to not have the time...it was nice he took the time for me. #212 reasons why I love him!

While I was clearing out some cabinets, I found my beautiful Haviland cake plate from our wedding.
I saw this in a bridal magazine and just loved the cake and the plate. Do you believe I kept the page? My best friend, Christine, searched for the plate and she found out that in the photo, it was a dinner plate...not a traditional size cake plate.
Then the search was on and she spent an incredible amount of her money on the plate and shipping to make me happy on my wedding day. It was a total surprise to me and such a wonderfully sweet gesture.
I will always treasure the plate, as I do her.

During Lindsey's open house they had some artwork displayed on the wall.
It struck me of how sweet my 2nd grader really is. She drew her family with hearts surrounding all of us and it made me happy that she is so proud to be part of our family. We are just as proud that she is part of ours.

Charles came home from work with these and most definitely brightened my day with his sweetness.

My grandmother bought these handmade placemats from one of her friends at church.
I will probably change the sunflower napkins out....but aren't they adorable? The silverware and the napkin gets tied in the the leaves... Talk about sweet. Thanks for thinking of me, Gram.

Many months ago, I was in a deserted island swap with Lori. Another special blogging friend I have made. We are even planning to meet sometime in the near future. Here is what Lori sent to me....

A fun beach bag with an S pendant on it....pedi items, lovely Vera Bradley stationary, Coastal Living magazine, an old movie address book, a small pillow that says it is Time to Relax....fun crafts for the kids, a sonic card and a bag of mm's. The girl knows how to spoil.

She also surprises me with "just because" good mail.

She made these awesome clothespins and was kind enough to sent some to me! I love em and think her generosity is amazing.

Fridays are 50 cent Fridays at the kid's elementary school. They give the kids an opportunity to raise money for the school, by purchasing treats after school. I gave Lindsey money to do what she wanted. Little did I know that they would include selling these.

You can only imagine the mess that ensued. Seriously, you sell these to kids who are going to eat them on the way home? Oh yeah, Michael's was blue. The bright blue that turns your tongue blue for days. My point though...that Lindsey treating her siblings to treats, made my heart happy.

The sight of this makes me smile EVERY time.

Do you love the pillows or what? The Happy Halloween blocks are already on display and I scored with new good mail/happy halloween labels! Thanks Jill.

My Mom stopped by to visit and made all of our days with
PUMPKIN PIE.....YUM! Also, she treated me to a new fruit bowl(you can see some of it in the photo). Thanks Mom, she knows my weakness....i love my pumpkin pie. That sure was a "sweet" gesture.

School started last week for ALL of my kiddos. Yep, you read that right....ALL of them.

Monday it was....

Tyler starting high school. High School. High School. No matter how many times I say it, it doesn't seem true. I was pretty pleased that he cracked half a smile for me. It was a before school miracle!

Lindsey starting 2nd grade. As she told me, "Second grade means much more responsibility, Mom." She was so proud of the matching backpack & lunchbag she got at Target. I thought it was sort of generic, but it was the best of the selection. A girl likes what a girl likes!

Michael starting Kindergarten!!!! Wow, how did we get HERE? His teacher asked that he bring in a baby photo of himself. Brought me to tears looking at this. My baby is no longer a baby, he's at the big kid's school!

Natalie's uncertainty. Why wasn't she in the big school with "Windsey" & "Mycul".

Tuesday was....

Natalie's big day! She goes to preschool 2x a week. She feels pretty big now! Especially the carrying a backpack & snack bag part!

As you can see from the pics, some were cooperative and some weren't. The positive is that they let me take photos at all!

Splash pad Take 2.

Saturday morning, we decided to take the kids to the splash pad I took Natalie to earlier in the week. They missed out while they were at VBS.

Lindsey squealed each and every time that she got splashed. She had so much fun.

As did our little man. Give a boy a water gun that big and you better watch out!!

Natalie was funny this time. I don't know if it was because there was such a crowd or what, but she didn't want to get wet. She played on the playground & enjoyed her snack. Yes, I did put sunscreen on her. Do you believe how red she gets from just being hot?

I included this photo for further proof of her redness and to tell you that at this park, no matter where you are, the sky is beautiful. I hope to go back one day alone to take some more photos.

Saturday night we ordered pizza and took it to my mil's house and then got DQ and went to my parent's house. The kids kept saying it was surprise night. Do you ever have surprise Saturday nights like that?

A new Nancy Drew PC game that I have been tempted to buy for myself, the book that she read...The Clue in the diary, a fun mug, a beautiful red journal with a magnetic closure(she has no idea how much I love magnetic closures...weird, right?) and she included the movie Unfaithful with Richard Gere...because she adores Richard Gere(who doesn't?). Since I am so behind in my posts....enjoy a glimpse into our May, full of sickness(we all were sick ALL month-long, no lie!) and fun.

Picking up Tyler was sorta surreal to me. I can't get over that he is starting high school. Side note:this is the only photo he allowed me to take of him, ugh!

Okay, here is where we go totally random(don't you love my 80's speak?...like totally random)

We have been busy.

Running through sprinklers because our pool is STILL not fixed. And while we are good and dirty from the grass & dirt, we enjoyed some yummy grapes.

We started a new chore chart....but before we made it, we had to try out the dry erase markers. I give you...our family portrait, by Lindsey on the left side and by Michael on the right.

We've made use of lots online printables. Can you tell this is Arthur? She informed me that he had to be different this time. And he was.

One of the perks of living here.....sunsets are unbelievable no matter where you are. Like on our way to the mall.

We've rummaged through our utensil drawer and had lots of fun with play-dough.

We had lots of fun making red velvet cupcakes...

We brought out some long forgotten games we had. This Dr. Suess game was a big hit.

Tangrams & multiplication.....more fun than any of us expected.

Not the best photo of Natalie's new bed, but you get the idea. We bought it at a yard sale for $50 and painted it white. Now, she has more storage in that small room of hers. I'll be sure to take an after photo to show you her room all done.

Visited his high school & got his new schedule. Digital Media, drama, and a SOCIAL SKILLs class. Do you believe it? I am so very excited about. His school is very large. I think there are 5 separate buildings that are huge. I was so happy to get the chance to take pics of him there without any kids around. The place is so traditional and I had some great ideas. Unfortunately, it was pouring from the minute we got there til we left and he was so concerned that it wasn't allowed that this is all I got. Did you check out his curls.....um, time for a hair cut.

We got a new quilt. Do you love it as much as I do?

A ladybug purse, heart heels, a pink flower hat, and a margarita glass. Isn't that all you really need?

There have been some serious scrabble junior games. My girl is starting to love it, just like Mommy!

We broke out our swimsuits.

and our trusty $38 pool and made due with what we had. Though it is tough looking at our pool. Empty.

Can't forget that Lindsey had another big milestone. She lost a front tooth and accidentally swallowed it!!!! Luckily, the tooth fairy saw the whole thing happen and took pity on her. $1 and another $1 for the emotional stress of it all:)

Saturday night we had a little grad party for Tyler. He is officially a 9th grader....a High Schooler....a young man.

This photo says so much to me. The little boy inside....the long road ahead.....the mountains he will have to climb and is climbing...

I am so proud of all that he has accomplished. He is a fun, smart guy. But what one of his counselors said to me on the last day of school will stay with me always. "He is a good human being". That I am most proud of.

***Not many pics of the party due to excessive dancing(the kids were jammin' to Alice Cooper's School's Out), lots of talking, and much pizza being eaten.

We surprised the kids and tried out a new park on the other side of town. If only ALL the parks here had that wonderful shade! It was warm at 10 in the morning, but not unbearable.
They squealed.....especially because we had it to ourselves!

I love this pic of Lindsey climbing, but mostly because I caught Charles, Tyler and a little of Natalie in the background too! Do you believe all of the shade?

Had to catch my cutie on the slide.....I love that he smiles that big EVERY single time he goes down a slide. My favorite pic from the park. My 5 year old is spinning his 2 older siblings....if that doesn't explain the household dynamics here, nothing does!

After a nice visit at the cemetery and the pet store, we went to lunch.

The kids were so well behaved. Thankfully, they had coloring books:) Love this pic, Charles has the sexiest hands. Seriously, sexy.

Took this photo because I thought it was funny he was contemplating what ice cream flavor to pick and the sign was right above his head...almost like a conversation cloud in a cartoon. It would have been perfect, if it had been on the other side.

Yes, that is a cold, icy Dr. Pepper. I fell off the wagon.

But, I am back on it. Nothing to do, but keep trying!

Polly Pocket has taken over our dining room.........
